I'm not going to lie, Mondays class was very draining. My brain felt worn out by the time it was time to leave. I felt like I was going over something that I had no clue to it's meaning. But math has always been that way to me and from what I have heard, many other people as well. I know the methods but not the reason which makes it hard to do things like word problems. The students in my practicum are constantly struggling with word problems and get them wrong a majority of the time. Is it ever too late to turn things around for students? Can we help them re-learn how to do these again without confusing them? This is something I will have to wait to find out I'm sure...

Three hours of math/student thinking is a long time.
